Taking place every four years, ICRR invites scientists in radiation science disciplines to present their findings. It's an event that fosters collaboration on new research topics and promotes the multidisciplinary nature of their work.
This year, the event had a specific focus on:
- Mechanism in radiation effects
- High LET radiation
- Emerging therapy approaches
- Low dose, environment, radiation protection, epidemiology
- New applications in omics, big data, and AI
On August 30, our Senior Environmental Scientist Gillian Dunlop contributed to the discussions, delivering a talk titled ‘Understanding dose to the public near CANDU facilities over time’. Used by all nuclear power plants in Canada, CANDU is known as a safe and reliable reactor technology.
ICRR 2023 took place in Montréal. Find out more about the event.
