This June, Western University will host the Laurentian SETAC’s 30th anniversary conference. The conference, for which Ecometrix is a silver sponsor, is committed to promoting and enhancing the communication, education, and networking of ecotoxicology and chemistry in Ontario and beyond.
For this year’s edition, Andrea Amendola, our toxicologist and risk assessor, will join forces with Dr. Lara Alves Beese from Dillon Consulting to deliver a short course on toxicity assessment in environmental risk assessment. More specifically, it will focus on its role in estimating potential risks to human ecological health as well as key methods for deriving toxicity-based benchmarks and toxicity reference values.
Participants will also gain an understanding of how toxicity assessment integrates into the broader risk assessment process, and everything will be supported with practical examples.
